Looking for menu want to make sure we do not miss the BBQ and we need to take up orders
Linda, if you want to call ahead we’ll have your plates and sandwiches ready for you.704.547.0038, call on Thursday anytime. $9 for a plate (barbecue/stew/slaw/applesauce) or $3/sandwich (with or without slaw). And of course bulk stew and barbecue are available.
This will be my 63rd year at the barbecue. I was still in the oven for my first one, since I was born in November 1947–but I’m pretty sure I remember Mom having a couple sandwiches with slaw and a bowl of Brunswick stew. Ah–what great memories.
Please correct your poster that reads “October 27, 2011.” I’m a newcomer to the area and was planning on coming on a SATURDAY (October 27).

I too am a life long participant of the Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church BBQ for over 50 years. My father took great pride in packing up the entire family in the station wagon and showing us how the political process worked. For many years my own family has come through early for take out. My husband and I want to come for dinner and enjoy the entire experience this year but are concerned that you will run out of take out bulk BBQ and Stew early like you have in the past. Any suggestions or thoughts about when you normally run low on bulk? Thanks
while we can’t guarantee, we generally have bulk sales through lunch, after that it becomes less certain because we try to accommodate our guests who are ordering plates/sandwiches. thank you for your continued participation!
was wondering if you would have delivery available or if there is transportation available to your place. Would be ordering 1 quart of stew. 1 lb of barbecue and 1 sandwich with everything and 1 pint of coleslaw. Also do you take checks or if this is cash only.
No delivery. However we do have four drive-through/take-out lines, so you can pick up your order without having to get out of your car. I would suggest printing a copy of the order form (available on the website) and have it ready when you come to the site. We take cash and credit card, but do not accept checks. I’m new to NC and would love to go but I work all day .. at what time does it start and is it only one day event?
this is a one-day event.
We begin serving at 10am..
and continue until we sell out… usually 5-5:30PM
maybe you can come for lunch? (it’s usually a little less crowded after 1pm)
